We are back at work and the Garden is now open Monday to Friday 10am till 4pm – individuals and families are welcome to come and use the Garden and the playground, but remember to keep 2m distance from each other, use hand sanitiser provided and check in using the Track and Trace app. Pop down and enjoy looking for signs of spring in the Garden!
From April 19th we will be re-starting our regular activities outdoors in groups of six and starting new indoor activities for parents and toddlers – we will be posting more information later on this month!

Our free holiday play scheme for children aged 8-12 will be running from Tuesday 22nd February till Saturday 26th February 12.00-3pm.
This time we will be going on a trip around the world, exploring different cultures through arts and crafts, games, food, science, and gardening. Lunch will be provided.

This is not the message we wanted to greet the New Year with, but we all have to do whatever we can to stay safe, protect the NHS and save lives.
As we are now in Tier 4, all our regular groups and activities at the Garden – both indoors and outdoors – will be suspended until further notice.
The Garden will be open to the public in January on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11am until 2pm.
We hope local families and individuals will continue to enjoy the outdoors in the winter, explore the Garden and use out new playground. Please remember to sign in using NHS Track and Trace app, use hand sanitiser on entering and leaving the Garden, take all rubbish with you or place it in one of the bins and leave the Garden as you found it:)

Hours:
7 hours per day, 6 days a week during three half – term holidays, Easter and Summer school holidays (9 weeks in a year).
Salary: £10 per hour
Start date: February 2021 (end: October half-term 2021).
Place of work: Caldmore Community Garden, Carless Street, Walsall WS1 3RH.
Ideally applicants will have a relevant Level 3 NVQ or diploma, preferably in Playwork or Youth Work, but we will consider other equivalent qualifications. Applicants must have experience of working with 7 – 13 year olds in a play environment.
Experience of working in a supervisory capacity is essential.
All posts are subject to receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure for a regulated activity and reference checks.

Spaces are very limited as we are only accepting up to 4 people per hour to adhere to the rule of 6.

Our Programme in December and January: – Thursdays 10am – 2pm – join us for gardening activities! – Mondays 10am – 12pm – Men’s Shed – Tuesdays 10am – 12pm – Women’s Tuesdays – Garden Saturdays – 11am – 2pm – family sessions, booking in advance requiered.
We are also open Monday – Friday 10-2pm if you just want to enjoy the Garden and use the playground.
