July Open Day – Big Butterfly Count
When: Saturday 29th July 2017 at 12-4pm
Join us at the Big Butterfly Count – national action day to count and get to know British butterfly species! There will be family competitions, butterfly arts and crafts, and butterfly feeder making.
Peter and Natalie Mason will play for us live at the Garden – enjoy the music with a non-alcoholic coctail made with some of the herbs and fruit grown in the garden.
Come to our Photo Portrait Studio – as a part of our ongoing consultation, you can have your family portrait taken in return for your ideas for the Community Garden.
There will be games and races, barbecue, cakes and drinks at our community cafe. So why not come to the Garden and spend a lovely afternoon enjoying the outdoors, relaxing, learning and being a part of a great local community project?

Join Walsall Kobar Friendship Association for a Palestine Day at Caldmore Community Garden.
Keynote Speaker – Jackie Walker, former Vice Chair of Momentum, will give a speech Palestine in the modern British political context – The importance of resisting smears of anti-Semitism: a personal account. Her presentation will be followed by a film Balfour and Me.
There will be book stalls, refreshments, a lot of family activities – magic show, ballon art, gardening activities, games, pottery decorating

Join us for a day of music jointly hosted by Caldmore Men’s Shed, Caldmore Community Garden and The White Lion Public House.
From 2pm in the Caldmore Community Garden.
Garden cafe open with refreshments and home made cakes and barbecue. Lots to do for the children with arts and crafts and garden games.

Soil to Plate – Free gardening course in Caldmore Community Garden
When: Monday 26th June 2017 at 1-4pm
Join us for the next free gardening course session at Caldmore Community Garden.
The course generally covers ground preparation, planting and seed sowing plus maintenance of plants and gardens. For those that want to learn or improve their gardening skills and knowledge but are not interested in gaining an accredited qualification.
• Preparing the Ground

• Maintaining Plants Outdoors, weeding, watering, mulching
• Plant, weed, pest and disease identification
• Composting
This course is delivered to cater for absolute beginners and those experienced gardeners within the community. Learning tips and pointers from Jonathan Ensell an award winning garden designer and lecturer with 24 years of gardening experience.
The course is FREE.
