The Festival of Lights is an annual festival at Caldmore Community Garden. It brings together the traditions of Bonfire Night and Diwali and lights up Caldmore with a joyful lantern procession.

The 2024 Festival of Lights took place over two days with performances by the Indigo Moon Theatre, Helter Skelter Arts, and Autin Dance Theatre. The lanterns were made by children from Caldmore Primary Academy, women’s groups from AAINA Community Hub and Caldmore Community Garden, Caldmore Tots and children who took part in the holiday play scheme at the Garden. The workshops were led by Bostin’ Arts, who also made the amazing Dragon lantern and animated it during the procession.

The event and the creative work leading up to it were funded by Inclusive Communities Fund, Black Country Touring and Children in Need.
